Corrections policy

We will get something wrong eventually. When we do, here's how we fix it — and how you can make us.

A site that claims to show its work has to be willing to be checked — and to be wrong in public. This is how corrections work across every CitedFigures site.

Report an error

If a number looks off, a citation is dead, a formula is wrong, or an edge case breaks, tell us. Include the page URL, the figure or claim in question, and — if you have it — the source that shows the right answer.

Email info@bedrockatools.com with “Correction” in the subject. For an error in the math itself, you can also open an issue against the open-source calculator repository.

What we do when we find one

  1. Verify it against the primary source.
  2. Fix the math and the page — including the published formula in the open-source repo if the error is in the calculation.
  3. Date it.We update the “last updated” date on the page so you know it changed.
  4. Log material corrections — where a fix changes a result or a substantive claim, we note what changed and when, rather than silently editing.

Routine updates — refreshing a rate for a new tax year, fixing a typo — are reflected in each page’s “last updated” date rather than logged individually here.
